Re-elected: Cllr Alistair Dow

Selly Oak Ward councillor Alistair Dow has been re-elected with an increased majority of 674. Speaking after the declaration of the result, Alistair Dow thanked all those who had supported him.

The full result in the Selly Oak Ward was:

Alistair Dow - Liberal Democrats: 1948 votes

Labour Party: 1274

Conservative Party: 889

Green Party: 319

BNP: 176

Liberal Democrat candidates also performed well elsewhere in Birmingham, as a total of 13 Lib Dem councillors were elected (an increase on the 10 Lib Dem councillors elected in 2007).
